Markdesk is an open-source help center built with Next.js and Preact. It gives you everything you need to support your users: markdown-based help articles, a product changelog, a contact form, and an embeddable beacon widget.
What's included
- Help articles — Write documentation in markdown, organized by category with full-text search.
- Product updates — Announce new features, improvements, and fixes with a built-in changelog.
- Beacon widget — A lightweight (~47KB) Preact widget you can embed on any site. It includes search, article browsing, a contact form, and update notifications.
- Contact form — Let users reach you directly, with support for Resend, SendGrid, or Nodemailer (SMTP).
- Single config file — All branding, colors, and settings live in one
markdesk.config.tsfile.
